For those of us that have furry kids, preparing a meal – heck, even making a sandwich- feels like someone put up a sign that says, “Kitchen help wanted,” and our canine companions never fail to answer such ad. Look at the attention they are paying Cynthia.

Cynthia moved to get something from the fridge, and her two helpers quickly moved into place to “guard” our food. Abby seems to be the more serious out of the two, don’t you think?

I don’t know, but perhaps Roxie started to smell like something Cynthia was cooking because Abby took a lot of interest in Roxie’s face and ear. It’s always fun to see what our furry kids do when we are cooking. They certainly make life more interesting.
Kita’s rule: if it’s at nose-level, it’s mine! Bambi and Boo (an Akita and Pitbull, now gone over the Bridge) had the same mindset.
Even Quorum (a tiel I used to own) got in on the action–climbing across my back and down my arm to help himself to my turkey sandwich!
Lol. That is a good way of looking at things, “If it’s at nose level, it’s mine.”
When I’m cooking I’ve got 2 cats and 2 (big!) dogs under my feet. Whenever I drop something it’s always a contest to see who can get to it first. Surprisingly it’s often Ginko (the cat) who wins that contest 😉 Oh, and the dogs are (mostly) confined to the kitchen (that minimizes dog fur and canine destruction throughout the rest of the house). They don’t seem to mind one bit, especially since it seems like that’s where I spend most of my time anyway 😉
You know what? If there is a cat in the mix, usually the alpha of the pack is the cat. Even when you have big dogs. So funny and so cute. You certainly have a lot of help in the kitchen. Enjoy your weekend:-)
Toby is right there under my feet – literally whenever I am fixing food! Poor baby, he gets tripped over a lot!
Your Toby is very smart. Anything that falls and fair game:-)
I think they would love to live in the kitchen :o) And always when Easy will not listen I open the fridge door… it always works… but sadly it is not easy to carry the whole fridge on my back while walking with Easy :o)
Lol. You know what? I never thought about it, but yes they’d probably love to live in the kitchen.
