I still cannot believe that we are at the end of March and yesterday, Wednesday, was so windy and cold, but to my surprise when we went to the deck it was pretty nice so I went ahead and cleaned all “my” furry kids and asked Cynthia to take some pictures.
I like my home clean, therefore “my” dogs also need to be clean that is why after our walks I wipe them off. Kalimba is actually pretty good and just lets me do what I need to do.
Now is time for brushing Kalimba’s hair. I think Alex is starting to get bored. I had to tell Alex, “I am almost done.” Bella, on the other hand, is watching the birds and squirrels that like to hang out on the trees.
Once Kalimba was wiped and brushed, it was Alex’s job to do an inspection and let me know if I did a good job. She gave me a big, “good job mom.” I do this with all the dogs that stay with me, and that includes my two girls, Alex and Bella. Wiping and brushing only takes a couple of minutes, and even if you only do it once a day, preferably before they go to bed, you’ll see the difference on your dog and your floors.
Did you decide if you are keeping Bella?
Yes, I finally made up my mind so on 3/20 I went and filled out the adoption application and Bella is finally ours:-) I’ll do a post about soon. Thanks for asking. Have a great weekend.
Yay!!! I knew you would keep her! Such a beautiful addition to your family!
Yes, she is, and thanks:-)
What is this “cold weather” of which you speak? Max gets chilly when it drops below 70. But we, too, clean him down after every walk and have found that a good regular paw washing reduces the allergic flare ups that often afflict Maltese.
Cold weather in Maryland, or at least for me, is when it hits 30 degrees. I am so glad you do that. I wish more pet parents would follow your example:-)
My dog gets a regular brush and teeth clean every night. But every so often he needs a trim. Last night I did an hour of hair cutting, before he wouldn’t sit still anymore. I hope to finish tonight 🙂
Lol. You are a wonderful pet parent. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll certainly do a little more daily cleaning as we enter into the warmer season!
Yes, please do specially because this is the time when allergies tend to flare up more than during winter.
I bet Alex is a great inspector :o) It’s very cold here too, last year we wore t-shirts this time :o) Have a great thursday! btw: your header looks a little like me lol
Yes, Alex is a great inspector. I can’t wait for this cold weather to go away. Actually, the header is that of a Weimaraner, Josie, so you were right.
It really does make a difference with just a few minutes work. Both your pets and your home stay fresh and clean. The crew is looking good!
Thanks Will:-)
What an adorable bunch you have there! XOXO – Bacon
Thanks:-)
