Last year I started to foster dogs for Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, Barcs, and I was able to place a puppy, Avril, in her forever home. Was I sad to see her go? Totally. But happy that she had a family of her own. Later on, I started to think that I should target dogs that were high on a list of being euthanized and so Barcs sent me information and pictures of them and I picked Zoe, formerly known as Vanna/Swan, and do you know what all her previous parents, 3 different homes, wrote about her? Loving but hyperactive. After a failed meet and greet at Barcs we adopted her and, brace yourselves for impact, she is definitely loving and hyperactive, but by working with her every day consistently her hyperactivity is manageable.
With Zoe my family grew from 2 dogs to 3! After she started to settle in, I realized that getting another dog as a foster plus taking care of my 3 dogs and my clients dogs was too much so after a lot of soul searching I decided to start offering group classes, around March/April 2024, that will include training and behavior. Believe it or not, a lot of shelter dogs have training, but they don’t have behavior and manners so they end up back in a shelter.
I may not be able to foster now, but I could certainly help dogs and pet parents by offering affordable group classes this year. Enjoy your weekend and spread the word around. Take care.

Aww. Thanks
Zoe was just meant to be part of your family! Cute picture!
