Alex, “Moms, this feels good!”

When a dog gets sufficient mental and physical stimulation, she will be well behaved and balanced.  The majority of the “issues” pet parents encounter with their canine companions is due to a lack or inappropriate amount of mental and physical activity.

There are many ways to exercise your dog, these are just some suggestions: running, walking, swimming, kayaking, etc.  However you decide to exercise and stimulate your dog with, please start slowly.  How do you exercise/stimulate your dog?

We do agility. She loves it and is super fast. Now we just need to coordinate so she doesn’t play choose your own course. 😉

Excellent on the agility. Figure out what she likes best, treats, toys, etc., and once you want her to stop – whether she is working on agility or anything else – you’ll get her to stop by giving her what she likes most. With lots of repetition and patience, your furry kid will stop when you ask her too. Keep up the good work!

  2. Couldn’t agree more. Even at 13, Sam gets his 2-3 mile walks in every day.
