Letting go is not easy, and if you ask most pet parents they’ll tell you the same. It’s funny, in a way, how things work out. Alex left a little over 2 months ago and I don’t miss her any less today than I did that first day she was no longer with us and because of that Cynthia and I decided to wait for a bit before getting a new furry kid. I heard somewhere that, “We make plans and God laughs.” Well, that is certainly true in this case.

Abby, formerly known as Harlow, was actually a client’s furry kid. Abby’s mom did the right thing by getting help in the form of training and behavior, but sometimes the dog and its prospective family are not compatible like in this case so Abby came to us as an unexpected gift. See what I mean by making plans and God having a good laugh at our expense?
Funny, I didn’t see myself raising another puppy. I actually told Cynthia we should adopt a senior dog, but I guess that was not meant to be. I’ve realized, after many years, that there is no point in fighting what’s put on your path for all you are going to do is get frustrated. Instead you should embrace it and make the best out of it. So with that being said, Abby a 6 month old Beabull is our new addition to the family and member of our club, the 3 musketeers.
Best of luck to you and Abby!
Thanks:-)
Abby looks beautiful! What breed is she? And how do the other animals get on with her?
Abby is a Beabull = Beagle and Bulldog mix. She gets along fine with other dogs. Because she is a puppy she is very exuberant I am working with her so she can be calm when meeting other dogs.
Congrats on the new addition to your family!
Thanks:-)
And congratulations! It never hurts to have a little youthful energy around!
Thanks. You are right:-) Have a great weekend.
Congrats on the newest member of your family! Obviously it was meant to be 😉
welcome to your new family Abby :o) I agree with you, life happens while we making plans. We decided to get no new dog after our furkids had to go… and Easy happened :o)
There you go.
Thanks:-) You see? You got Easy and you had no plans to get another furry kid. Oh well, dogs truly make life a lot more interesting and fun. I know your Easy does that for you and Abby will certainly keep me on my toes.
I hope Abby brings her own magic into the family.
Abby is already working her magic:-) Thanks.
Sometimes things work out not as we planned, but as they should. Best of luck to you and Abby on this new journey.
Thanks Will
