Roxy, a beautiful Pomeranian, is staying with us this weekend. To say that she is my little shadow would be an understatement. Remember Frasier, the TV show? Frasier was living with his father, Martin, and his father’s dog, Eddie. For some odd, crazy reason Eddie was fascinated with Frasier and would stare at him for long periods of time. Well, Roxy also does that. Sometimes she just sits close to me and stares at me. I wonder, just like Frasier did, do I look like a giant kibble?

Can you see the leash? The last time she was here, I had to go and run some errands so she stayed with Cynthia and Alex at home and we had to put a leash on her so she would not bolt out the door after me. Cynthia took this picture.
According to Cynthia, Roxy stayed waiting for me for a while on this spot. When I got back home she greeted me with her usual barking, running around me, and jumping. I had to laugh because she is so tiny and adorable. What a wonderful welcome I received from Roxy.
Hey can you send me your email address
tom@iamtomnardone.com
I prefer to communicate on my blog so other pet parents can participate and give suggestions as well as recommendations.
I am fine with that. I don’t know what kind of dog he is. I wanted to email you a pic. Thats OK we will try it this way click the link below. You should see a picture of my dog
Adorable. What is his name? He looks like a beagle mix, which means that when you take him out he needs to be on a leash because he’ll follow his nose. I don’t know what other mix he has in him, but I can see the beagle. I pet sit for a beagle a while ago. His name is Max and he was so loving, gentle, and a big lap dog. When we went out for a walk though, I had to make sure that collar and leash were properly put because beagles will follow their nose over anything else, including a pet parent. They are amazing dogs. What other question do you have?
Hi Marcela
I wanted to let you know I nominated you for a Missy Award, it’s for people who love animals. You can accept or decline, but the rules are simple.
The Missy Award is presented to those bloggers who support and advocate for animals either in the blog as a whole or a blog post. They can be animal lovers, vegetarian, vegan, rescue workers, doesn’t matter it’s all about the animals. The rules are simple:
You must post the award picture on your blog.
Link back to The Missy Award.
And answer these two questions: What inspires you to write? Why do you love animals?
Nominate other worthy bloggers (whatever number you’d like), or you can simply accept the award and complete only Steps 1, 2, and 3.
Finally, please let your nominees know you nominated them.
I hope Alex and the gang had a terrific Easter!
Mandi
Hi Mandi. Thanks a lot for the nomination. Alex will be getting a special treat tonight. Have a great week:)
Hello Marcela
I imagine you must know this, but the dog on the Frasiere show when they were starting out had a fascination with Kelsey Grammar. I would just stare at him and know one knew why. They only then decided to work that into the show. Another thing is after that dog retired from the show it was so depressed and it would barely eat or play. It would just sleep all day. They did not know what was wrong with him. So the asked if Kelsey Grammar would come visit him. When he got there, that dog just sprung back to life as if nothing was ever wrong.
our family has recently got a dog (my first). If you know a lot about behavioural issues i sure would like to ask you some questions. This dog of ours has to be ADD.
Wow! No, I did not know about that, but thanks for sharing that info. I actually thought that Eddie was trained to stare at Frasier. Amazing! Congratulations on your first dog. Lol. ADD? Could be. My Alex when she was a puppy was hyperactive. If she had been a human kid, the doctors for sure would have wanted to put her on a bunch of meds. I love to interact with other pet parents, what questions do you have? I know some about behavioral issues because of reading, asking trainers, and just observing dogs.
That is too cute – a true constant companion.
🙂 Yes, she really is.
Roxy is the cutest little “fox” ever. have a wonderful weekend :o)
Thanks:) You too:)
Terribly cute. Nothing like coming back home to a greeting like that. Love the Frasier and Eddie analogy – now I can picture it perfectly.
Roxy is truly adorable. Yes, amazing welcome home I get from her. I really enjoy watching Frasier and Eddie is so cute and funny.
