Tomorrow, Wednesday, Walter will be going back home to his parents, and to say that I’ll miss him would be an understatement. He is such a loving boy.
Alex, so far, was the only dog that could sense my moods, but I was surprised when Walter did something quite unexpected.
One day while we were on one of our walks, a car went by going really fast. Now, the speed limit around this area is 25 mph so I got angry thinking, “irresponsible, careless person.” Walter looked up at me with a big smile on his face and he even tried to jump, but I told him, “no,” so he stopped, but he continued to look up at me and nudge my left knee with his mouth so I don’t stop looking at him. Seeing how funny and goofy he looked, I had no other choice but to laugh. I could not believe it. He actually sensed my mood change and tried to appease my anger. Wow! I was so surprised because the only dog that has done that is Alex.
Walter is an amazing dog and I hope to see him in the near future again. Dogs are truly amazing beings.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder – hopefully you guys will be reunited soon.
Thanks Will. I think you are right:)
Walter is a beautiful guy … I think he will miss you too ;o)
Thanks. I was so happy to see how he hugged his daddy when he came to pick him up. What an amazing dog Walter is:)
he is…even the name is cool ;o)
🙂 Thanks.
They beat most humans by a long shot! Walter is extremely handsome.
Thanks. I agree with you:)
I warned you about Aussies…
I know you did, but I cannot make my heart reason about how much to love another being specially if that other being is a handsome Aussie:)
I bet he misses you as well.
This may sound a little crazy to you, but I always hope that he, or I should say they, since I pet sit for different dogs/breeds, do not miss me. Why? Because, and this is the way I feel, when I miss someone my heart hurts a little bit, and I don’t want that for them. I hope that the time they stay with me is fun and peaceful, and that once they walk out the door they are ecstatic to go back to their parents. Let me miss them, but not the other way around. Some pet parents, and I’ve seen this, when they come to drop their doggies, see that their dogs come to my door running at full speed. They always tell me, “I think he/she likes to be with you more than with us:)” It makes my heart jump a beat:)
