Happy Belated Birthday Abby!

wp april 15 2018

Abby, “Mom, are you feeding me any time soon?”

My inpatient birthday girl could hardly wait for her breakfast.  That look speaks volumes!

Abby ate her delicious breakfast – finally! – which consisted of a stir fry and some kibble.  She inhaled it.

Abby, “Moms, I am ready.  Let’s go”

Yes, Abby was more than ready to go and get some cookies for her birthday.  I like for her to travel in her crate or wearing a seat belt, specially made for dogs, so she is safe.

Abby, “Moms, I want this one!”

Abby was certainly not shy about letting us know exactly what she wanted.  We took her to Maggie’s Dog House in Hingham, MA.

Abby, “Mom, make sure you hold on tight to my bag full of goodies”

And so after we did some shopping we headed for a little bit of an outing to the city.

Abby, “Mom, I like everything I am smelling”

And so we ended up going to Back Bay, Boston.  Abby loved it.

Abby, ” I am 3 years Old?  No way!  I feel younger than that.

After our nice long day, Abby finally got her birthday cake.  Abby’s birthday is at the beginning of April, but we were too busy at that time so we decided to celebrate it a little bit late.  I am not too sure Abby mind that, do you?

Spring And 4th Nor’easter – Stoughton, MA

wp march 20 2018

Abby, “Moms, I love the snow.  I am using my ears as wings.  Weeee!”

Today, Tuesday, is the first day of Spring, but you wouldn’t know it since we still have snow on the ground, and tomorrow we’re expecting our 4th nor’easter.  What will Abby be doing?  Playing in the snow, of course!

wp march 20 20182

While Abby will be having a blast playing in the snow tomorrow, other dogs prefer to nap in a comfortable bed with a blanket or two.

Abby and Champagne (L to R).  Champagne, “Will I be getting a treat any time soon?”

And then there are those, like Abby and Champagne, that prefer to “help” in the kitchen and be Cynthia’s sous chefs.  Regardless of what you decide to do tomorrow, please be safe and keep yourself and your furry kids warm.

Massachusetts And Our Furry Kids Bracing For Another Nor’easter

Jack, “Keep up with me”.

Since we have a storm coming to MA today, we got our morning walk done, and of course Jack seemed to be in a hurry to do so.

Jack and Louis, “This is how we wait for another Nor’easter”.

Yes, Jack and Louis certainly do not seem worried at all.  If only we could be more like our canine companions, right?  If you need to be outside, be safe.

Our Night Time Oral Care Routine

Champagne and Abby (Left to Right)

Brushing your dog’s teeth is very important for your overall canine companion’s health.  Because of that I do my best – I do forget once in a while – to brush her teeth every night.

My tools.

Yes, each doggie has her own toothbrush and toothpaste.

Abby, “Am I first?”

I always make sure that I place them in a spot that they are not to move from in order to maintain order in my pack and safeguard my sanity.  Abby, next to me, since she will be my first “patient”, and Champagne, patiently waiting for her turn.

wp feb 12 20184

Abby, “Mom, wait”.

Abby is already used to getting her teeth brushed in the morning, and before going to bed.  Although you’d never know it from looking at the above picture.

wp feb 12 20185

My next victim, I mean patient was Champagne, a beautiful Pit Bull.  She is very comfortable having me put my fingers in her mouth.

If you are asking yourself, “How did she get such compliant doggies?”  Well, magic.  No, really, I used treats.  At the beginning, most dogs will take some time to adjust to you brushing his teeth, but as time goes by you’ll be able to do it in a matter of minutes.  With that in mind, do you brush your dog’s teeth?
