The days of excruciating heat seems to be over, here in Annapolis, MD. I know that our dogs and I are not going to miss those days and we’re now enjoying days with temperature in the low eighties.
Aside from the weather changing, our schedule changes as well. This past summer we mostly did long morning walks and no evening walks because of the heat, but because the weather is so nice we’re enjoying morning and afternoon walks. Yay!
I am really enjoying this weather, and I think our dogs do too as the snoring coming from Zoe as I type this post could be a testament to that.

Thank you and belated happy labor day to you too. Here in north Texas the summer is not pleasant for furry dogs but we take them for walks early mornings or late evenings and keep them inside otherwise.
That’s great! This summer I did mostly one long early morning walk and the rest of the time indoors because it was too hot and humid here in Annapolis, Maryland.
It is finally getting cooler here but it looks like we have one more heatwave ahead of us. I should say we used to have a pug and she seemed to love the heat. She went outside and laid on her back in the hot sun like a sun bather. I’ve never seen that with any other dog.
Some dogs just love to sun bathe. I have to get Abby to come in because she never knows when enough is enough.
