I never thought I would end up living with 3 dogs of my own. I’ve had up to 5 or 6 dogs at a time, but only 1 belonged to me. And to answer my own question, I’d say that a multi-dog household is the right fit for me right now, the operative word being “now”, and so here are a few things I’ve learned so far:
- Every single dog is an individual, something I knew, but has been reinforced by living with these 3 cute creatures.
- There’s more work than having just 1 dog, but-believe me when I say this-you will learn to be organized and plan things ahead of time in order to keep your sanity.
- Awwww will be something you hear yourself say often when you see them look at you, or perhaps when they’re asleep. There’s no work or effort from them, could you believe that?
- You will definitely lose weight. I am not kidding you! In some of my previous posts I have mentioned that having a dog is like having a personal trainer living with you, and you know what? I was telling you the truth.
Living with a dog is an adventure, but living with 3 dogs is an odyssey!! But you know what? I’m grateful for having the opportunity to live with such diverse pack of dogs and continue to learn from them. Got to go. I have to figure out our afternoon walk for today. Enjoy your week and stay safe.
