The temperature yesterday, today and tomorrow will reach 93 degrees in Annapolis, MD. Could you believe that?
How are we dealing with the hot temperatures? We go for a nice long walk very early in the morning; in the evening we go to a store that allows dogs so we could walk; and we drink a lot of water.
What are you and your canine companions doing to deal with this weather?

We’ve been going for walks in the dark since the temps are in the 90’s here as well. At least we don’t have the humidity but it’s miserable nonetheless. As a black dog, Elsa isn’t all that keen on going on potty breaks during the heat of the day. I don’t blame her one bit!
Poor Elsa. Yes, dogs with dark color coats tend to overheat very easy. Keep taking walks, but be careful!
Luckily it’s been nice and cool at 5:15 AM 🙃
5:15am? That is pretty early but we have to do what we have to do for our pups.
It’s still dark but yes, with our intense sun and hit temps, black dogs (and me for that matter) need to go out at oh-dark-thirty if we need a walk. 😇
Even dark brown like my Abby doesn’t fair well in hot weather.
We also walk at odd times and take water. Hopefully it’s supposed to rain tomorrow and cool off!
