Are There Ghosts In Stoughton, MA?

Abby, “I heard something, but I don’t see anybody around”. Nina, “I don’t like this”.

Nina, the cutie pie on the left, comes to hang out with Abby sometimes, and walks are always on Abby’s schedule.  Today we had some rain so we took a late morning walk.

Abby, “I told you I heard something. Could that be a ghost?”

I don’t know exactly what they heard, but they both turned their heads at the same time.  Let’s remember they can hear better than us, humans.  Our walk was an hour long and we all enjoyed it.

Nina, “I don’t know about you, but I am leaving. There may be ghosts around here.

Are there ghosts in Stoughton, MA?  I don’t know, but Nina certainly didn’t want to stick around to find out.  Smart girl.  I may need to have Abby’s ears checked by the vet since she didn’t even move.  What do you think?

  1. Sometimes, even the slightest sound that we humans can’t hear brings our fur babies’ ears up pronto! As a child growing up in my parent’s household, it had unusual noises after we went to sleep and would wake us up. Many times, our pets would turn their heads as if they were seeing someone walking from one room to another. Me? I believe they can sense and “see” a presence whereas we can’t. A good post! Thank you! Stay dry!

I totally agree with you. They do can sense and see things we’ll never be able to detect. My wife went on deployment for 6 months when she was in the Navy years ago, and I stayed with our 2 dogs all that time. I was extra careful with the doors, but I was never afraid of ghosts because I knew my dogs would let me know if something was off.
