Alex Sunbathing

Alex loves to sunbathe regardless of what time of the year it is.  You look at her and she seems to be in heaven.

wed1Dogs with short hair like Alex tend to get cold very easy and maybe because of that they crave the sun.  I was reading not too long ago about senior dogs, now one of my many favorite subjects since Alex is a senior doggie, that discussed things that senior dogs should do such as: exercise, proper diet, message, and sunbathing, to name a few.  I remember the article about sunbathing because Alex enjoys doing that, and according to what I read sunbathing is good for them because it gives them a, “healthy boost of sunshine into their systems.”  If you want to read more about it, check out this website,  http://www.pekinews.com/why-do-dogs-like-to-sunbathe-the-reason-behind-your-pekingeses-sunbathing/

wed2Now that the days are pretty cold, Alex prefers to sunbathe inside by the sliding doors.  What a life!  Enjoy the rest of your week.

  1. We’re a group of volunteers and starting a new scheme in our community.
Your site provided us with valuable info to work on. You have
done an impressive job and our entire community will be grateful to
    you.

  2. I remember a house I lived in where the entrance got all the morning sun-the dogs followed the sun throughout the house-at that time there were 4 of them-all crowded in the vestibule to soak up that sun-Jack Henry enjoys his sunbaths too-great pictures of Alex-she looks pretty content!

    • Smart doggies:) Yes, dogs like Alex with short hair tend to follow the sun. Jack Henry and Alex seem to share the same philosophy, where there is sun you’ll always find us:) Thanks, I do my best to keep my girl happy and above all things stress-free

  3. There’s nothing nicer than a snooze in the sun. Yawn…

  4. My Maggie, who has the shortest fur of my three, is just like Alex and loooooves a good sun bath. I agree, I think it’s the short coat!

  5. I know that pose well – Eko is addicted to the sun as well. I call him my sun dial because I always know where he is based on what time it is (aka where the sun is coming though my windows)

  6. that’s sadly true, with short and thin hair we need more sun and love the warmth.
