Charlie’s Progress – Part V

Abby and Remy napping in the afternoon. Remy didn’t feel like facing the camera, so there!

I got tired of typing that long, Charlie’s Behavior Rehabilitation And Training title, so I went with the shorter version, Charlie’s Progress. Hope you don’t mind.

Anyway, today Remy came to vacation with us for a few days and I’ll be honest when I say that he is the most gentle dog we’ve ever had. So cute too!

Remy already met Abby the last time he stayed with us, but this was the first time Remy was meeting our Charlie. How did it go? Charlie barked furiously-our neighbors probably thought something was going on-when he saw Remy, but after a couple of minutes he was quiet. I will give you all the juicy details on my next post. Take care and hydrate!

Short-Haired Dogs And Coats/Sweaters

hispring1The above picture is of Dexter, a very handsome boxer mix, that used to stay with us often.  Since Spring is taking its time to arrive, make sure that your canine companion is properly attired when you go out with him.  Dogs that have short hair like Dexter need to wear a coat or sweater or both to keep them warm.

hispring2Dogs that are very lean, like my Alex, also need to wear a coat when the weather is cold.  In Alex’s case, I make her wear both a sweater and a coat.  She is not too crazy about it, but I need to make sure that she is warm.

Dogs look adorable in sweaters, that’s for sure, but remember that for many dogs like short-haired dogs, and lean dogs, wearing a coat or sweater is a necessity.
