Abby, “Mom, hurry up! We need to get on the road before it gets dark!”
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on this blog, but lots of things happened the last few months that kept me busy: my mom fell down and had to have surgery; Cynthia’s mom passed away; my mom stayed with us for a while; a few doggies stayed vacationing with us; and Abby, of course, helped out big time. Because of that, we decided to take a well deserved vacation. Where did Abby go? Montreal, Canada. By the way, we left at 1pm so I don’t know why she was so concerned about leaving before it got dark. Drama queen!
Abby, “Mom, let’s cross the street now. Come on!”
So, where was Abby, in the above picture? The Latin Quarter, Montreal. After breakfast, we headed out the door to do some sightseeing, take pictures, and enjoy ourselves.
Abby, “Mom, I am so tired! Thanks for dinner. Good night.”
Our days in Canada were certainly enjoyable, but by the end of the day we were all really tired, and Abby was the first one to get in bed. Smart girl.

During Summer, we, pet parents, need to be very careful when taking our dogs for a walk specially if they are Pugs, Boxers, Bulldogs, Akita, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Why, you probably ask yourself? Because they have short noses and flat faces. They are very cute, but they need more care and attention than dogs with long muzzles.
I took the above picture in the Back Bay, Boston a couple of months ago. When I saw this, I had a smile from ear to ear.
Abby is a mix of a Beagle and Bulldog, and when the weather starts to get warm even though she is young – 3 years old – she walks slower than any other time. This is a sign for me to slow down, walk early in the morning, carry water with me, and pay more attention to her. Enjoy your Summer.
Bella, Alex, and Dexter (L – R) Alex and Dexter to Bella, “Wow! Something smells delicious.”
I had no idea what Alex and Dexter were smelling, but Bella was certainly not using her cute little nose.
Alex, “I’d love to eat whatever is that that smells amazing. Bella, “I still can’t smell anything.”
On Bella’s defense, she supposedly is part bull dog and they have a hard time using their nose.
Bella, “Oh, ok., now I can smell it.”
I wanted to lighten up the mood a little bit since my last post, See You Bailey, made a few people cry, and that was not my intention, but a million thanks to those that took the time to read it and empathize with we. Happy Hump Day!
